In November 2007, the Measure B ballot measure to consolidate four school districts in northern Sacramento County passed with 60 percent voter approval.
The vote consolidated Rio Linda Union, Grant Joint Union High School, North Sacramento, and Del Paso Heights school districts into a new unified preschool through 12th grade district.
The school district’s new name was revealed earlier this month as the Twin Rivers Unified School District and now there’s a website, too!
The first Twin Rivers Community Summit will be held Saturday, Jan. 26 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Oakdale Elementary School, 3708 Myrtle Ave.
Lunch, childcare, and translators will be available. Call 566-1600 for more information or print out this flyer for more information about the event.
