Sacramento police early this morning arrested two men in connection with stealing copper wire from Natomas streetlights.
Police received a call at about 2:28 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 from a witness reported seeing two suspects on bicycles stealing street light copper wiring.
Officers responded to the area and noticed street lights were out in the neighborhood southwest of W. El Camino Avenue and Orchard Lane.
Two suspects were seen on bicycles at W. El Camino Avenue and Sea Mist Drive. The men both had evidence on their person.
Arrested and taken into custody were Ron Schmidt, 39, and Dustin Eckman, 27.
