Can’t help but notice progress on the formidable structure that will be the H. Allen Hight Learning Center on North Park Drive.
The two– and three-story school tentatively scheduled to open in fall 2008 has room for 900 elementary students and 1,100 middle-school students. The 21-acre campus includes a two-story library, two computer labs, two gymnasiums, a band room and a synthetic-turf soccer field.
The $79 million project is being built with bond and state funds as well as developer fees. The school will include the latest features in energy and water efficiency.
