On Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday Jan. 31 from 2 to 4 p.m., the Natomas Community Foundation will be working with the City of Sacramento and the Heritage Park Neighborhood Association to distribute Safely Out Kits to the residents of Heritage Park.
The distribution will take place at the Heritage Park Clubhouse. During this time, training sessions will take place every 30 minutes on how to use the kits and someone will be on hand to answer questions about flood insurance. Other areas of Natomas are slated to receive Safely Out Kits in the near future.
SAFELY OUTª is a project of Citizen Voice, developed in partnership with the Red Cross Sacramento Sierra Chapter, to ensure that our most vulnerable citizens — including the disabled, frail seniors, young children and more — are protected during a disaster.
