Public forums were held recently about the planned Downtown/Natomas/Airport light rail line.
Here’s a recap:
- The first segment from downtown to Richards Boulevard will be constructed using Measure A funds — approximately $38 million. The plan is to start construction in spring 2009 with with service beginning in November 2010.
- Construction on the second segment is scheduled to begin in 2011.
- A total of 14 stations from Downtown to the Airport are currently proposed.
Dates to keep in mind:
Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. – Regional Transit Board’s Public Hearing at the RT Auditorium, 1400 29th St.
Feb. 26 – Public comment period ends.
