Those who shop at Raley’s and Bel Air and who take advantage of the discount at the Aisle 1 gas station, located on the corner of Arena and Duckhorn, might have noticed this sign.
The reason for the change in hours?
The convenience store located at the Aisle 1 gas station was robbed at gun point by two masked men not too long ago. One of the suspects was armed with an assault type weapon.
Officers were reportedly at the gas station within minutes of the alarm, and an exhaustive search of the area was conducted with four K-9 units, a helicopter, and over 30 patrol units.
The Aisle 1 gas station robbery was part of a county-wide series with five robberies in the county and one within the city limits.
The Sheriff’s Department and Sacramento Police Department worked together to identify the suspects, the weapon used in the robbery was recovered, and the investigation is still
continuing.
The information about the robbery was not given to the media because suspects were arrested.
As a result of the robbery, the convenience store is now closing one hour earlier than before — at 10 p.m. — and may even push its hours back further to 9 p.m.
No similar robberies have been reported since the two individuals were arrested.
