Our friends at Sac PD tell us a man suspected of robbing two Natomas sandwich shops within 30 minutes last weekend was arrested Thursday night.
The 28-year-old suspect, described in the Sacramento Bee’s 9-1-1 blog as wearing a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt, allegedly robbed the Subway restaurant at 3645 Northgate Boulevard at 8:01 p.m. on April 5 at gunpoint.
A few minutes later, at about 8:24 p.m., the same man is alleged to have robbed the Quiznos restaurant at 4100 Norwood #20, also at gunpoint.
At approximately 9 p.m. Thursday, investigators spotted the suspect at Jessie/Norwood. The man was dressed similar to when he allegedly committed the previous robberies and it appeared to law enforcement that the suspect was going to rob another business at Jessie/Norwood.
Officers took the suspect into custody. He had a real-looking pellet gun on his person and a real gun at his residence off of Grand Avenue.
Score one for the good guys!
