OK, OK, so it’s not for Uncle Sam, but Councilman Ray Tretheway’s office does need volunteers to serve on the North Natomas Community Center Design Group.
The community center will be located across from Inderkum High School, the new North Natomas Library and the American River College Natomas Center. It is slated for a six-acre area bound to the north by a future light rail station and Del Paso Road to the south.
Design Group volunteers will host three community workshops, guide and critique space planner and architect’s designs, and endorse community center master plan principles and surrounding amenities that will support the center.
There are nine (9) positions open to North Natomas residents on the design group. Volunteering requires a one-year commitment and working with City of Sacramento’s Parks and Recreation staff, a professional design and architectural firm, and Tretheway’s office
To apply, write a short essay on why you are an ideal person to serve on the Community Center Design Group. Share your background, ideas and creativity. Please limit your essay to a maximum of 300 words.
