More than one reader has written THE BUZZ in recent months asking why construction stalled on these eateries planned for the corner opposite the Natomas Marketplace shopping center (think Wal-mart).
Inquiries to Sacto city officials and, in turn, the developers of this site KOBRA ENTERPRISES out of Roseville, have not garnered any information to date.
HOWEVER, one of our friends at the Sac Bee (yes, we have ’em even though we’re always picking on them!) business section tell us that similar Kobra building projects have also stalled in Roseville, without explanation…
Noticed a few corners in Natomas with Kobra signs and stalled activity. Is this company in trouble? One thing mentioned at the Natomas Community plan meeting at NMS yesterday was how to get businesses to want to build in Natomas. Sounded like because we are part of Sacramento proper, we are at a disadvantage compared to cities like Folsom, West Sac and Roseville. But squeaky wheels are helping to get us moving again. We have to battle with the other parts of Sacramento city for our share. Kobra please keep going, we want our Sonic and TGI.
