For A Good Cause

THE BUZZ didn’t know Kylee Lillich, but we have heard her story from others who live in the neighborhood…

Kylee’s family, who moved to Sacramento after her tragic death, started the Kylee Lillich Charitable Giving Tree as a living tribute. Its purpose is to help:

  • Needy and hospitalized children
  • Grieving children who have lost a sibling, parent, or primary caregiver
  • Other children’s programs including Hospice and “animals helping children” programs

The program is run year round and has a a holiday giving tree which starts today and runs through Dec. 12.

Giving Tree hosts are being sought for small, medium or large Giving Trees or Toy Drives at businesses, churches, schools or social groups. Last year, over 30 people and organizations hosted a Giving Tree fulfilling wishes for over 550 children in 2007.

The Giving Tree began after Kylee died in January 2000. She was almost 2 years old and has a twin brother Kevin. More than 3,500 children have been helped so far.
