Natomas schools, parents and community join forces for first-ever Parent Symposium to improve the lives of Natomas youth
WHEN: Tuesday, November 18, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Inderkum High School, 2500 New Market Drive, Sacramento
WHAT: Hundreds of parents, community members expected to attend “Mapping the Path to Success From Cradle to Career” with keynote speaker Olympic Gold Medalist Ruthie Bolton and more than 20 free workshops on parenting issues, family communication and tips for improving student success

WHO: Sponsors include the Natomas Unified School District and the school PTAs
WHY: In these challenging economic times, the NUSD and its PTAs are reaching out to our community in an effort to help us work together to improve the lives of our youth. This first-ever free Parent Symposium will include day care, a movie and snacks for children, and food and drink stations.
SCHEDULE: Information booths and food stations, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; opening remarks by Superintendent Steve Farrar and Olympic Gold Medalist Ruthie Bolton, 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; seminars, 6:40 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
