Yes, our own neighborhood high school football team made the Sac Bee’s prep report today. Please note the highlighted portion of the report below:
INDERKUM TIGERS
Opened: 2004. Record: 11-1.
In brief: Located in Natomas, Inderkum has most of the ingredients needed for long-term success, starting with a coaching leader in Terry Stark, lots of athletes, great facilities and athletic director Matt Hinton, a former football coach. The challenge? Finding a community following.
So far: Beat Rio Americano 45-27 in the Division III opener; beat Del Campo 21-0 in the semifinals.
Up next: The Tigers meet Casa Roble (12-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakmont High for the Sac-Joaquin Section title.
Wouldn’t it be nice to prove the critics wrong by showing the media Natomas does support its teens?
My son is a Senior on the Varsity football team at Inderkum and I am more than happy to see this team make it to the championship…There are many supportive parents at this school and I am happy to say I am one of them…GO TIGERS!
