THE BUZZ has received several messages asking about police activity late Saturday in the Natomas Park development. Here’s the lowdown from Sac PD Capt. Daniel Hahn:
5/2/09
10:10pm, 5000 block of Archcrest, Burglary/Arrest, Natomas Park
We received a call from the resident of the above location about some people breaking into her house. Graveyard Officer Bell arrived within 3 minutes and observed 3 suspects running from the house to a grey buick lesabre. Officer Bell attempted to stop the car but it fled south on Archcrest and west on Aimwell – running the stop sign. When the suspects entered the intersection of Aimwell/N. Bend, they collided with another car. All 3 suspects fled the car on foot. Officer Bell gave chase as the suspects jumped fences. One suspect was found hiding in a garbage can on Lyman Cir. One suspect was located with the K-9 (the dog bit him) in a back yard on Menard. The 3rd suspect was not located. Numerous Officers, Helicopter and K-9 were used to locate the suspects. Some property was recovered that was taken from the house. This is possibly related to a felony assault that occurred in the South area the night before. Anthony Pimentel 9/29/90 was arrested for burglary, conspiracy, street gang enhancement, and resisting arrest. Ernesto Moreno 1/23/87 was arrested for burglary, conspiracy, street gang enhancement, resisting arrest and parole violation.
Thank you for that explanation.
Good dog!
