A wind-driven grass fire threatened several homes and structures last night in Northern Sacramento County. The fire was reported at 6:35 p.m. and firefighters were on scene six minutes later.
The fire spread rapidly from West Elkhorn Boulevard to East levee Road where it burned close to several structures and roughly 50 acres. There have been no reported injuries and the cause is unknown at this time.
Sacramento Firefighters received assistance from Sacramento Metro, Cosumnes, and the West Sacramento Fire Department.
