A stubborn two-alarm wildland fire burned along a canal near W. El Camino Avenue and East Levee Road in South Natomas.
Sacramento firefighters responded to numerous calls reporting the fire at 3:16 p.m. Firefighters arrived in about 5 minutes and found three separate fires burning on both sides of a canal.
A second alarm was eventually requested to bring in more help to stop the fire. No injuries or property damage was reported.
The cause of this fire is not known. Firefighters from the West Sacramento and Sacramento Metro Fire Departments also responded.
