When the North Natomas Library celebrates its grand opening on Jan. 9, it will have the first-ever official store built specifically for the Friends in the Sacramento Library system.
The North Natomas Friends space is approximately 160 square-feet in size and located in the clock tower at the front of the building. Most libraries in the system have book sale sections, some actually have a store that was “appropriated” from the library (closets or small spaces).
Those libraries which set aside spaces donate as much as $30,000 a year back to their libraries. The North Natomas Friends hopes to match or exceed these donations. For more information about the Natomas Natomas Friends, check out their website here.
