An auto burglary crew has been hitting Natomas apartment community hard this week, according to Matt Carroll of Paladin Security.
In a message sent to area residents, Carroll details a series of incidents starting with Sunday night when an apartment complex at San Juan and Azevedo had at least six vehicles burglarized. Early Tuesday, Paladin Secuarity officers interrupted an auto theft in progress in another complex on Duckhorn, about a half-mile from the Sunday night incident.
Suspects managed to escape from Paladins and responding Sac PD officers, fleeing in a Toyota car with stolen license plates. Upon investigation, officers identified 11 more vehicles burglarized by way of smashed windows.
