Natomas district officials expect to issue 95 layoff notices to teachers by the March 15 deadline. Additional employee layoff notices will go out by the end of the month.

How deep are the layoffs going? Are they laying off teachers with 15 years in the district? Wow!
Natomas Unified School District layoffs are going back to 2005.
There are teachers working in the Natomas district with several years of prior experience working for a different district.
Even so, if they were hired after 2005, they likely will be getting a pink slip in the coming days.
I wish the teachers union would consider giving up their automatic raises. Imagine how many teaching jobs that could save.
