Sacramento city councilmember-elect Angelique Ashby marked 100 days prior to taking public office by scheduling a series of public community forums to be held in the coming weeks.
The purpose of the district-wide meetings is to glean ideas, thoughts, input and experiences from area residents as they relate to key issues – public safety, economic vitality and quality of life – facing the region.
Ashby was elected June 8 to represent City Council District One which includes Alkali Flat, Downtown, The River District/Richards Boulevard, North and South Natomas, and Gardenland-Northgate. She takes office Nov. 23.
Said Ashby, “I need everyone’s insight, support and partnership to set us off in the right direction from Day One.”
