WESTLAKE STUDENTS |
Over 1,000 children from North Natomas school participated in International Walk To School month during October.
Five North Natomas elementary schools participated in walk-to-school events coordinated by the North Natomas Transportation Management Association.
HERON SCHOOL |
Here’s a look at the numbers of participants at the different school sites, according to the NNTMA:
- H. Allen Hight – 161 or 19% of student body
- Regency Park – 282 or 33% of student body
- Natomas Park – 286 or 27% of student body
- Heron School – 400 or 41% of student body
- Westlake Charter – 215 or 60% of student body
NATOMAS PARK E.S. STUDENTS |
In all, 1,344 students participated in school walk events.
Kudos, kids!
Witter Ranch Elementary is a North Natomas school in the same district, but I don’t see that school listed. Therefore, I believe it is incorrect to state “all five North Natomas schools participated.”
Darn – the writer must have been mistaken here. The North Natomas TMA hopes that in the future, Witter Ranch Elementary participates.
