Evidence of significant rainfall from the recent winter storms can be seen at the numerous water retention basins and canals throughout North Natomas.
These photos were taken at the North Natomas Community Park soccer fields, the adjacent wildlife area and pond, the canal that runs parallel to Truxel Roast-Natomas Boulevard, and the North Natomas Regional Park on Sunday afternoon.
More rain is in the extended forecast.
I have lived in North Natomas since 2003 and this is the highest I have seen the basins. Yikes!
