North Natomas Library volunteers and employees celebrated Sunday the one-year anniversary of the branch’s opening with a private reception and awards ceremony.
Over the past year, 68 volunteers have worked nearly 5,000 hours and raised almost $15,000 to support the library.
The branch’s Friends of the Library members say these efforts are the equivalent of at least one full-time library position.
