CB Richard Ellis has announced Bed, Bath & Beyond will set up shop in the Promenade at Sacramento Gateway on North Freeway Boulevard.
Bed, Bath & Beyond has signed a lease for the 28,007 square feet previously occupied by Linens N’ Things. The space has been vacant, save for some temporary seasonal shopping, since Linens N’ Things declared bankruptcy and closed the store in 2008.
“In order to provide a ‘fresh face’ and enhanced shopping experience, we chose to relocate the store vs. doing an open store renovation and risk disrupting our customers shopping experience,” said Catherine Gentile, public relations manager for Bed, Bath & Beyond.
As a result of the deal Bed, Bath & Beyond will close its 24,071 square-foot store in the Park Place II shopping center on Natomas Boulevard. The move is pending permits and is expected to take place in late summer or early fall. Gentile said all employees at the current location will be offered jobs in the new store.
