Cub Scout Pack 402 returned to the park it adopted to perform some much-needed work over the weekend.
A total of 18 scouts and their families were on hand Saturday to help beautify a section of North Natomas Community Park.
The Scouts spread five yards of fibar near playground equipment as well as weeded and raked surrounding areas. Pack No. 402 adopted a portion of the community park in March 2010 and continue to take pride in making it a great place to visit.

Girl Scout Troops Sell Cookies

Girl Scout troops of all levels – Daisies, like those pictured here, Brownies, Junior Girl Scouts & Cadettes – were spotted in front of several Natomas retailers over the weekend.
The activity of selling cookies is mean to help girls become strong, confident, and resourceful citizens. Girls set goals, sell a great product and help raise money to support Girl Scouting in the local community.

Daisy Girl Scout Troop No. 1537 sold 163 boxes this weekend.

Way to go, Scouts!
