Sacramento County Department of Water Resources officials seek public input as it updates the local hazards plan.
The purpose of updating the 2004 plan is to:

Assess risk and vulnerability of Sacramento County to natural hazards,
-
Identify, prioritize, and implement mitigation actions to reduce future losses to people and property, and
-
Maintain eligibility for federal mitigation funds.
County officials seek help identifying possible hazards ranging from flooding, earthquake, severe weather, and drought, to dam and levee failure.
The meeting in Natomas is set for 6 p.m. May 4 at the South Natomas Community Center, 2921 Truxel Road.
