The Sacramento Police Department is alerting residents of Natomas to be aware of a suspicious subject.
On Thursday at about 6 p.m. an unidentified male subject went up to a house near Loggerhead Way and Myotis Drive in North Natomas and contacted the female resident. The man indicated he was looking for his lost dog, but hesitated when asked to describe the dog. The male then walked off and got into a vehicle without contacting any other residents.
When the victim went to talk to another neighbor about the suspicious man, some children in the neighborhood indicated the same person had approached them earlier in the week, on Tuesday, and tried to get a young boy to walk over to his car.
The subject is described as a white man in his 20’s, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, medium build, reddish unshaven facial hair, wearing a black baseball cap, long sleeve shirt, khaki shorts, and sandals. The suspect was seen driving a dark 4-door Chevy Blazer with tinted windows.
As a reminder, the following safety considerations should be followed:
- Call in all suspicious subjects and/or activity
- Do not open your door to strangers
- Talk to your children about what to do when contacted by strangers (stranger danger)
Sacramento Police do not know the intent of the subject and is urging residents to contact them if the subject is spotted at (916) 264-5471 – non emergency or 9-1-1 if you feel someone is in immediate danger.
