The Sacramento Fire Department representatives will be on hand during the Natomas Community Association meeting Wednesday.
Capt. Eric Blackmun from station No. 15 is slated to give a presentation to the group. In recent years, the Sacramento Fire Department has experienced budget cuts leading to rolling brown outs at stations citywide. The new station west of Interstate will still on schedule to open this summer, but will operate with less equipment than planned.
The NCA is a volunteer, non-profit group formed 25 years ago to improve the quality of life in Natomas as well as the unincorporated areas in the Natomas Basin of Sacramento County. The group strives to communicate the community’s needs to city and county decision makers.
Any person who resides or is employed in Natomas, north of the American River and west of Steelhead Creek, is automatically a member of the Natomas Community Association.
This week’s meting will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 22 at in the conference room at the South Natomas Community Center, 2921 Truxel Road.
