The Sacramento Redistricting Citizens Advisory Committee will hold its final meeting today to finalize its recommendations for the Sacramento City Council.
The Natomas region likely will be impacted by redistricting because 2010 census findings show the area exceeds the target population for a council district. Councilwoman Angelique Ashby currently represents District 1 which includes Natomas, Old Sacramento and parts of downtown.
Today’s meeting is set for 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 915 I Street. The committee is expected to present its recommendations for redistricting at the City Council’s July 12 meeting.
