THE NATOMAS BUZZ | @natomasbuzz
Natomas played host to the vanguard of gourmet trucks Thursday.
Parked in an office park off Gateway Oaks, you would think celebrity or famous rock bank was in town from the crowd lined up to order some burgers and fries from Mini Burger Truck. The mobile eatery, which makes regular stops in Natomas, has struck a chord with their fresh mini sliders, delicious fries and addictive sweet potato tots.
We arrived around 11:45 a.m., and wished we had come earlier. While no doubt the line was long, it moved quickly given everything on the menu is made fresh to order. Two people hustled inside the truck making food while another took orders and handed them out when ready.

The fries were a bit too salty for my taste (I rarely use salt in day-to-day cooking), but the tater tots were flat-out amazing. The dipping sauce is so awesome, be sure to ask for a second container.
T and I shared a little of our lunch with coworkers (just a little) and the consensus is: Mini Burger Truck is well worth the wait. Next time — and there will be a next time — we’ll go early and try to beat the lines.
When the Mini Burger Truck rolls through Natomas again, I’ll be there ready for them.
*If you forget cash, that’s okay, the Mini Burger Truck also takes credit cards.
