Renovations at the McDonald’s restaurant on Northgate in Natomas are complete.
The fast-food eatery now features a new contemporary building and lobby, complete with the largest McDonald’s indoor toddler Playplace in Northern California.
“This newly remodeled restaurant reflects McDonald’s commitment to the community and to the environment, and I am thrilled to be able to showcase this beautiful restaurant to our customers and the community,” said Kathy Wikstrom, owner
The new environmental features include LED lighting to save on electricity usage, and three new HVAC units have been installed which will assist with total energy savings for the restaurant. The glass installed in the playplace and the lighting used in the menu also have increased energy efficiency, and, as part of the stores environmental efforts, the restaurant recycles all of their cardboard products and oil.
Some of the unique features of this restaurant include an enclosed meeting space that can be used by local community organizations. The new Playplace also includes cutting edge features, such as play structures shaped as musical instruments that play music notes upon touch.
The restaurant’s grand reopening is set for 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday. Ronald McDonald is scheduled to be part of the festivities, prizes will be available for each child, and radio station 107.9 The End FM also plans to participate.
