The Sacramento Police Dept. issued 47 citations at last night’s DUI checkpoint in Natomas.
Uniformed police officers set up a checkpoint at Truxel Road and Pebblestone Way at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17.
During the night, officers made contact with 855 vehicles.
In total, 54 drivers were screened for driver’s license violations, 47 citations issued and 18 vehicles towed.
Eight drivers screened for possible impairment and two were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
One vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and the driver arrested on suspicion of felony drug possession.
