Last night’s on-court rematch between Natomas High and Inderkum can be described in a word – intense!
The Nighthawks played host to their neighborhood rivals to the north, during the last game of the regular season.
The Tigers started off the night by scoring the first three points of the game. By the end of the first quarter, Inderkum had a one-point lead ahead of Natomas, 19-18.
At half time, the Nighthawks had turned the game in their favor and edged a one-point lead ahead of the Tigers, 39-38.
The end of the third quarter, saw Inderkum fighting its way back in the lead, 60-54.
But with only 4:34 minutes left in the game, the Natomas Nighthawks took charge and led the game, 66-64. And at the 2:28 mark, Natomas had distanced itself from Inderkum to 72-64.
Final score: Nighthawks, 76, Tigers 69.
