Natomas Unified officials are scheduled to hold a meeting Tuesday, March 20 about recent changes to the school district’s special education services.
Parents received notice of tomorrow’s meeting in the mail over the weekend.
The special education parent information session is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the school district Education Center service center conference room, located at 1931 Arena Blvd, in Natomas.
According to the flyer mailed by the district, topics to be covered include:
- An introduction to the district’s new special education executive director Julie Kehoe,
- Changes to special education services recently approved by the Natomas Unified school board which will go into effect for the 2012-13 school year, and
- An overview of the Individualized Education Program – or IEP – process.
Attorney and education advocate Marcy Gutierrez from the Gutierrez Law Group is scheduled to speak.
