Ashley Furniture Industries Inc. has purchased the former Sam’s Club property in Natomas, according to a real estate information company.
An article posted on the CoStar Group’s website dated July 2, reports that Ashley Furniture purchased the retail warehouse located at 3671 N. Freeway Blvd. from DBI Natomas LLC for $10.85 million – about $81 per square foot.
Ashley Furniture is based in Arcadia, Wisconsin and has retail stores located throughout the United States and Canada.
DBI Natomas LLC, based in Irving, Texas, purchased the 134,700 square-foot single-story building from Wal-Mart Realty Company in the first quarter of 2011 for $53.82 per square foot – about $7.2 million.
A Sam’s Club warehouse store operated at the location for about three years; the building has stood empty since it closed in January 2010.
