Walmart hosted a day of summer fun today, July 12 for more than 200 youngsters attending the Summer Oasis in Natomas.
Children today were soaked from head to toe with water balloons, water bombs, water guns and more. Walmart provided volunteers, toys, water play stuff and snacks for the campers.
Walmart in Natomas partnered with Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby this year to help save the popular day camp program. Walmart donated $7,000 to cover a large portion of the program’s costs, keeping the registration fee low for Natomas families.
Summer Oasis is an eight-week program held at Regency Park and features fun activities such as arts, crafts, games, sports, special visits, sports day, skate day and field trips.
