All outward signs point to Buffalo Wild Wings coming to Natomas.
On Friday, August 3 an Alcohol Beverage Control notice of intent to sell alcoholic beverages was posted on behalf of Buffalo Wild Wings at 3600 North Freeway Boulevard, Suite 100, in the Promenade shopping center.
Yesterday, August 4, Buffalo Wild Wings started advertising restaurant manager positions on Craigslist for its Sacramento-area locations, including the corporate-owned restaurant planned for Natomas. (The new restaurant manager position is also listed on the company’s website.)
As previously reported by THE NATOMAS BUZZ, the Minnesota-based sports bar chain has its eyes on the spot formerly occupied by Center Court with C-Webb restaurant.
But sources with knowledge of the proposed project tell THE NATOMAS BUZZ, Buffalo Wild Wings has yet to ink a lease deal for the restaurant space and has not been issued a building permit for plans submitted June 26 to the city.
The plans submitted are being vetted by city planning and building officials who will determine whether the proposed project meets building restrictions imposed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency which limit structural improvements until levee upgrades are finished.
As proposed, the existing Center Court building will be divided into two different tenant spaces with Buffalo Wild Wings occupying the larger 6,280 square foot portion – about 80 percent of the building – as well as the adjacent, existing outdoor patio space. The restaurant would have the capacity to seat 358 diners and be open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week.
Sources tell THE NATOMAS BUZZ Buffalo Wild Wings would like to open by year’s end in Natomas. The sports bar chain currently has 839 Buffalo Wild Wings locations including restaurants in Citrus Heights and Folsom, which are also hiring managers.
Center Court with C-Webb closed in November 2009.
