Authorities got more than they bargained for Friday night when responding to a house fire in Natomas.
At about 8:22 p.m. Friday, August 3 witnesses called to report a house fire on the 5400 block of Boswell Way in the Natomas Park neighborhood.
Upon entry of the home, Sacramento Fire Dept. crews discovered multiple marijuana plants growing inside and called police.
Sacramento Police officers wrote a search warrant, went into the home and seized the plants.
The house was not occupied at the time of the fire. The fire was reportedly caused by an overblown circuit.
The police investigation is ongoing.
