Natomas Charter School students recently made their mark on the “big book” interactive sculpture in Natomas.
Painting II students, led by teacher Carrie Markel and inspired by the upcoming election, painted the book with a political image on Friday, Sept. 14.
Kaela Hayes, a Painting II student, developed the design meant to bring teen awareness to the importance of the presidential election.
Favorite cartoon characters represent the innocence of teens while the donkey and the elephant symbolize the Democratic and Republican parties.
Natomas Charter School student art will be on display in the library lobby through the month of October.
The Authors of our Own Destiny sculpture by Anthony Padilla is located in front of the North Natomas Library on Del Paso Road between Via Ingoglia and Natomas Boulevard.
