A new indoor play center is set to open next month in Natomas.
Climbaroo will be located at 4423 Gateway Blvd. Suite 130 – in the space previously occupied by Funtastic! which closed nine months ago.
Business partners Penny Benvenuti Moreno and Pamela Schwoerer in an email told THE NATOMAS BUZZ they took ownership on Dec. 1. Paul Benvenuti is their Senior Director of Operations for Climbaroo.
“… We are excited to bring our business to Natomas,” they wrote.
A soft opening is planned for Climbaroo in January. Climbaroo will be an indoor play center, much like its predecessor Funtastic!, offering weekday open play sessions as well as birthday parties and special events for kids ages 1-13 years.
Climbaroo plans to have two-hour play sessions 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Weekend hours will be 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
The owners report bookings for parties have already started.
Climbaroo will occupy a 3,076-square-foot space in the Goldenland Business Park, home of businesses Kids Park and Anytime Fitness and the U.S. Postal Service’s new North Natomas Station starting mid-January.
Grand-opening festivities for Climbaroo are planned for February 2013.
The Natomas Funtastic! franchise originally opened its doors for business in January 2008, closed abruptly in August 2008 and then reopened in May 2009. New owners took the reigns in July 2009; the franchise closed in March 2012.
