Natomas High School’s Mock Trial participants recently attended the annual Sacramento County Mock Trial awards night.
The event recognized contestants who performed exceptionally and worked diligently during the rigorous competition. Natomas High did not continue past the semifinals, but two Natomas High attorneys were recognized for their Mock Trial performance.
Senior Nehaa Khadka, 17, was selected one of 20 Gordon D. Schaber attorneys from a group of 120 students. Junior Jared Stone, 16, was picked Most Valuable Player on the Natomas High team.
“I have been a part of Mock Trial for three years now and I have gained so much from this experience,” Khadka said. “I feel as though my speaking skills have vastly improved and I owe it to my participation in this competition.”
The event was held at The Holiday Inn Sacramento-Capitol Plaza on March 4.
