In the early-morning hours of July 15, 2012 burglars used a forklift stolen from a nearby construction site to rip through the storefront and steal a large wall safe full of one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces before using a second, stolen vehicle to flee the scene.

Riverbank Marina gives an update on efforts to rebuild the business, which operated on the site for more than 20 years prior to the theft:

“The vandals caused a lot of structural damage to the building so much of the repair is deeper than the visual cosmetic repairs. Midimar should open by mid to late summer.”
