Stanford Settlement was among 14 Sacramento-area non-profit organizations represented at the Rhythm ‘N Rims 2013 kickoff breakfast held recently at Sleep Train Arena in Natomas.
The second annual Rhythm ‘N Rims event is scheduled for Oct. 13, 2013 in downtown Sacramento, near the state Capitol.
The event is slated to begin with a morning 5K to help raise money on behalf of the Sacramento Kings Foundation nonprofit partners including Stanford Settlement from the Gardenland area in Natomas. Organizations also participating include: Boys & Girls Club of Greater Sacramento, CASA, CCHAT, Child Advocates of Placer County, City Year, Greater Sacramento Urban League, Sacramento Habitat for Humanity, Keaton Raphael Memorial, Positive Coaching Alliance, Sacramento Covered, Sierra Forever Families, Society for the Blind, Stand Up Placer, and the Sacramento Kings Foundation.
After the walk, Sacramento Kings basketball players and corporate partners will host to an exclusive exhibition game and VIP reception with a meet and greet with Kings talent, auction, hosted bar and appetizer station. Walkers who raise at least $1,500 and turn in their money to the Sacramento Kings Foundation by Oct. 5 will receive two premium seats at the exhibition game, two vouchers to the post-event reception and two lower-level tickets to the Sacramento Kings home opener.
