More than $6,000 was raised for Stanford Settlement during the annual Rhythm ‘N Rims fundraiser over the weekend at the Capitol.
Stanford Settlement was among 14 Sacramento-area non-profit organizations with teams participating in the 5K walk held Oct. 13.
After the walk, Sacramento Kings basketball players and corporate partners hosted to an exclusive exhibition game and VIP reception which Sal Martinez attended with his children Roman, 12, Ceceilia, 11, Alyssa, 9, and Tommy, 7. The Martinez children have participated in Stanford Settlement’s teen center other children’s programs for about five years.
