Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep High School freshman Noah Aure is a competitive swimmer who recently swam the length of the Golden Gate Bridge.
With only four years of experience, his 1.8 mile journey in the San Francisco Bay took him 36 minutes to complete.
Aure’s passion for swimming began in elementary school and he is currently a member of a local recreational swim team. He trained every night for several weeks leading up to the swim.
His family is very supportive of Aure, but were reluctant to allow him to swim in the middle of the ocean. His mom joked, “If he drowns, I’ll kill him.”
Aure’s impressive timing is only one step in his swimming career. One day he hopes to join an all-season swim team and aims to become a professional swimmer in college.
