Sacramento city Councilman Steve Cohn and AmeriCorps NCCC members joined forces with the American River Parkway Foundation and volunteers for a clean up near Northgate on Saturday, Nov. 2.
“Beautiful fall morning cleaning up American River Parkway near Northgate,” Cohn posted on Twitter. “Contrast between natural beauty and human waste is stark.”
Volunteers spent about three hours working to pick up trash and debris in the area, located off Northgate Boulevard south of Garden Highway, which has been impacted by illegal campers.
