The new Firehouse Subs restaurant in Natomas is scheduled to open this week.
The Natomas Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting event Tuesday at the new eatery and chamber members were served lunch as a training exercise for restaurant workers.
The Natomas restaurant is the first in Sacramento and located in the Natomas Village Center at 3830 Truxel Road, next door to Chipolte. It is one of of 75 new Firehouse Subs restaurants planned for Northern California over a 10-year build out.
Firehouse Subs is a casual-dining chain founded in Jacksonville, Florida by former firefighting brothers Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen.
The restaurant will open 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30.
