THE NATOMAS BUZZ | @natomasbuzz
Food trucks, live music and activities for all ages are just a few of the things planned for a new Natomas community festival planned for this weekend.
“West Fest” will take place at Westlake Community Park 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 7.
The free, summer-kickoff event is designed to bring the community together for an evening of fun. Organizers are hopeful West Fest becomes an annual tradition.
While the grownups enjoy the band “Posterchild” at the park amphitheater, youngsters can have fun bouncing in bounce houses, learning soccer and golf skills at free clinics and playing games.
Food trucks including Smoothie Patrol, La Mex, Ciao Chow, Smoker’s Wild BBQ, Snowie Shaved Ice and Gyro 2 Go are scheduled to be on hand for the festival.
The event is sponsored by local businesses and Mayor Pro Tem Angelique Ashby’s office.
Volunteers are still needed to make the event a success. For more information or to volunteer please email [email protected].
