THE NATOMAS BUZZ visited polling places throughout Natomas area and asked voters why they voted in today’s election. Here’s what they told us:
“It is my duty as a citizen to vote. I am voting to elect more Democrats in all offices,” said Tracy Spencer, pictured with Miguel Spencer.
“I voted today as it gives me the right to complain. I liked Proposition 47 but did not feel it was written well and rejected it,” said Kim Comeau.
“I am exercising my right to vote. There were many measures on ballot that I wanted to vote on,” said Brian Fong, pictured with him is Maggie Lo.
“Measure L brought me out to vote. We are a bigger city and better management is needed and measure L will help,” said Roy Bishop.
“Every vote makes a difference. I am voting today because it is a privilege,” said Tammy Pappas.
“I voted today because the government is for the people. We also need to vote to keep corporations from taking over. And we need to prevent voter suppression,” said Rebecca Stewart.
