The Norwood Avenue on-ramp to eastbound Interstate 80 is scheduled to be closed for about three weeks in January.
The freeway entrance closed at 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, and will continue to be shuttered through Jan. 27 as crews perform concrete pavement work as part of the I-80 “Across the Top” project. Caltrans advises motorists to plan ahead for the additional travel time and/or use alternate routes.
Weather or other unexpected events may prolong the work or cause construction activities to be rescheduled.
