A new school campus is taking shape in Natomas.
The new home for Natomas Charter School’s PACT Academy will be located at 2920 Advantage Way, in the business park fondly referred to by area residents for more than a decade as “Stonehenge.”
The school will occupy about 16,200 square-feet of the two-story building and is slated to be open for the 2020-21 school year. School officials plan to relocate the PACT Academy over the summer from its current home on National Drive — where it has been housed since 2011 — in time for the start of school in August.
A small portion of the building has not been built out yet.
The new campus includes additions like kitchen space for serving and storing lunches, an additional classroom, specialized offices for special education and larger music and computer classrooms. Most of the classrooms are located on the first floor and most of the administrative offices on the second floor.
PACT stands for Pursuing Academic Choices Together and is the charter school’s kindergarten through 8th grade independent study program. The program serves homeschooling families in grades who reside in Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, Amador, El Dorado, San Joaquin, Sutter and Solano counties.
